Position Overview
Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is seeking a dedicated Payroll Admin to join their team in California. This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining compliance with applicable regulations, and supporting the overall financial operations of the company. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities
- Process and administer payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Maintain and update payroll records, including earnings, deductions, and taxes.
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management and relevant departments.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues, providing support and clarification as needed.
- Coordinate with HR and finance teams to ensure seamless payroll operations.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures related to payroll.
- Stay current with changes in payroll laws and regulations.
- Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation as required.
- Support additional payroll-related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Certifications required: CPP preferred.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Strong understanding of payroll processes and regulations.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficient in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Additional Details
Pay Range: $36.00 - $41.00 per hour
